I've not posted in a while.Life has been rather overbusy. I'm struck that although I don't think I've coped as well as I would have liked to with the overwealm I have coped a lot better than a similar situation a few years back. So the training makes a difference.
One of the things that Wendy Palmer sometimes quotes is the phrase often attributed to Bruce Lee:
"Under duress, we don't rise to the level of our expectations, we fall to the level of our training"
So the important thing is to keep training!
Wendy Palmer - Level 2 course - Inclusiveness
Of course, the best way of doing this is to train with an outstanding teacher who can, partly just by their presence, lead us further along the path.
If you've done a level 1 course and can make it next weekend come along:
Sat 13th - Sun 14th November
Venue: Heythrop College, Kensington, W London
We will be working with Wendy's theme of this year - Inclusiveness - looking at this in both our personal relationships and at a global level. We'll be looking at ways to increase our experience of inclusiveness and how other around us somatically experience the message "We're all in this together"
We’ll also be working with the themes of:
- Building our capacity to listen — to hear what is being said without taking it personally - By creating an active perception of the space around us.
- Taking action without aggression — saying what you believe in a way that taps into universal truth, communicating our deepest self clearly.
